I (my family) have used Nylabone products for years. I always start -and recommend this product to anyone I know is getting - a new puppy on these bones. They're flexible, which I feel is better for the little baby teeth before 6 months of age than the harder bones, and I've personally never had - or known a puppy to turn these down! So, when my daughter got herself her own first puppy, this was what we got for her! She loves it! The thing I really like about these bones is the way they hold up and don't come apart in big pieces. Of course, you need to get the appropriate size for the puppy as a large breed could probably do a number on the smaller ones and you don't want too small of a bone for choking risks. Also, as with any toy, proper supervision is always advised. I became familiar with these bones years ago when I was Vet. Tech. and have never been disappointed. This has been my go-to choice for the first bone for my puppies for over 20 years and I have witnessed many a safe and happy chew! Happy puppy- ing🐶

My dogs love these. I like thst they arent hard enough ti break teeth. Of course that means they can be chewed into small pieces over time, so like all chew toys, supervision is important. We have a house full of rescues from 100lb to 18lb. We have a lot of fosters o through our home and I've personally never seen a dog chew off a big enough chunk ti cause a problem. I throw them away when they are close to 1/2 original size, which takes months. We have a large variety of chew toys and these are always a favorite. If your dog doesn't live it right away, try slathering a thin coat of peanut butter on it. Even the pug loves these :)

First I will say, anything under the 'strong' chew level is NOT to be left alone with the majority of dogs. This 'moderate' level bone is good for a dog to chew if you're in the same room and they're just out of the puppy stage, and you're keeping an eye on the dog. For my 30lb puppy, I gave this a try after the 'puppy' level chew, and like that level, I had to take the bone away and trim off the loose pieces as she was working on this with a pair of kitchen scissors. This is fine as I work from home and am with her almost all the time, but I did not let her have this when I wasn't with her. It lasted about a week, so I ended up going to the next level on her next nylabone, 'strong', and that one I can leave her alone with without worry.

The back of the packaging says to monitor your dog while chewing on bone. But I wouldn't give it to them at all. We watched him closely and trimmed off loose pieces from the bone a couple times a day to make sure he didn't eat any, but he still ingested small pieces that caused him to throw up at night and have diarrhea. After a vet visit, x-rays, medicine, and special food that cost $600, he will be okay in 2 weeks. But don't take any chances with this bone. Thankfully, he never got more than the ends off before we took them away.

Have you noticed Your dog only likes the fake bones that s/he can damage with chewing?? My boy won't touch the harder nylabones bc he can't chew through them at all! These, with some work, now that he is 10+ yrs old, are just about right. He has chewed it, on & off for a good long time. Lots of bites and chew marks- but not destroyed. Will buy again!

My dog loves these see-through chicken flavored flexible bones. He prefers this type rather than the very hard non see-through bones. It keeps her busy when I'm busy and my puppy does not go after things he shouldn't!!!!! I however wish they would have packages of the smaller ones with maybe 4 per pack instead of one giant long one. She has an easier time handling the smaller ( aprrox 6 inch ones) The large ones are fine for the bigger dogs but a multi pack of smaller ones would be awesome for us. These are her very favorite type of bones with the flexible material and chicken, or other meat flavoring Thiis is a wonderful product. Hopefully these are made with quality US produced materials. One caution however: as with any chewing product--you should moniter how long you let them chew and how much and how often. Sometimes as with any product bits and pieces come off after prolonged chewing and can dislodge and be swallowed which is not good in large amounts. So you must take these away after a while and replace them if you see too much breaking off. If I would see that these become cheapened and use foreign materials which can be subject to consumer warnings--I would definitely be forced not to buy them for my dog

My dog destroys all manner of "super tough" toys for aggressive chewers within a day or so. Ones labeled for pit bulls and ones labeled lifetime guarantee. He is a miniature dachshund and he shreds through them all. He is smart about how he chews things with a clear goal of utter destruction. So when I ordered this in 2018 I didn't have high hopes. It's 2021 and it's still here. I will say he doesn't chew it often because it's hard and I think he knows he can't shred it. If you need a durable toy and your dog will chew something that doesn't have some give to it, like a rubber or something, this is the toy!

Bought for my 4 month old japanese spitz (currently 5kg). She's currently teething but her razor teeth basically slice through the soft puppy nylabones like butter. She pooped all the bits out thankfully. Bought this one hoping to provide a bit more resistance. It has a hard rubbery texture, not like the extreme or hard chews which have no "give". Long story short, puppy loves it, been chewing it for a day and only a few small scratches on the surface of the bone. Hopefully it'll keep her occupied for a long time!

I ordered this nylabone thinking that it was a moderate chew like in the picture but when it arrived it was a power chew which was no good to me. I ordered this for my puppy who has just got her adult teeth but a power chew would be much to hard for her teeth. Wish I had checked the description closely instead of going on what the picture showed me. Suppose I will just have to keep hold of it till she gets older.
